I Love The Library!

My little one loves books. So do I. So I decided to sign us up at the library. It's a great resource and better than buying new books as you can read different books every couple of weeks rather than the same book over and over again which we had with the Usborne Trucks Lift and Look book! She loves her monthly visits to the library choosing new books and shouts "LIBRARY" every time we drive past the car park!
I totally recommend it and Bradford libraries have a great online system to renew your books which is really user-friendly.

Money Saving Update

It's been a tight month, we've needed car tax and 2 new tyres (they were bald :-S) so we were left with very little. Luckily I had £30 of Sainsbury's vouchers from Valued Opinions and Maximiles, coupled with a £4.50 off voucher I had when I nipped in last to buy dog foor I got a £39.87 shop for £10.04! Much better!

I've also got £6.31 vouchers from Co-op for my yearly award to spend and another £10 voucher from customer services after I complained I was over-charged. Luckily I've not needed to spend that so it'll fund the food shopping for our next trip to the caravan.

Today I took my little one and we went and got library cards. She's now got 7 new bedtime stories and I borrowed some knitting books for my other passion and blog (not that I've updated in a while)

The tax credits renewal form has been sent back. Fingers crossed we still get them (it's so confusing!). I'm not spending them yet until I get confirmation in writing as I'd hate to have to repay an overpayment.

Tomorrow is £5 off a £40 shop at Aldi voucher day in the Daily Mirror so I'll be spending 50p on a newspaper for the first time in ages!

My current totals are:
Valued opinions £9.50
Paypal: £41.53
Amazon: £35.68
Copper jar: £24
Nectar: £55
(Co-op: £16.31)

That's £165 for Christmas!

More Bzzagent Testing

This time as part of Bzzagent I've been sent Yum Pink & Black Peppercorn to try. It looks very nice and tastes yummy too.

I've also been sent some air-freshener as part of a survey site to evaluate. It's a new product so that's all I can say at the minute. Not that there's much you could divulge about air-freshener anyway!!

Money Saving So Far

The challenge we've set ourselves is to save £300 by July. So far, in under a month we've managed...

...DRUM ROLL PLEASE...

£72!

I'm quite chuffed with that. It includes random pound coins we've been able to spare. £19 from the copper jar, £25 gift from the M-i-L and a £24 claim for dental costs refund.

Not bad...

In other news I have £10 Sainsbury's voucher from Valued Opinions and another £10 on the way,
£50 in my Paypal account, £50 worth of Nectar points and £20 worth of amazon vouchers courtesy of Swagbucks all being saved for Christmas and birthdays

My Right Foot

I've been using E45 for ages now as a Bzzagent agent (too many 'agent's?) and I really am pleased with the results. It has helped my right foot which for some reason is always dry and hideous looking. I've tried my best to get decent photos of before and after -  if you don't like feet, look away now! I've applied the red topped nourish and restore stuff to my foot. As you can see the dryness is much less and my feet look distinctly less gross!

The red stuff is no good for my daughter's eczema but the totally white bottle really helps her eczema be less red and angry after the bath. All-in-all I'm pretty pleased with it and will definitely get some more for my little girl once it runs out.

Money Saving Challenge

Me and the other half had an unexpected bill recently. We panicked, tightened our purse strings as tight as they'd go and finally asked my parents for help.

This is not going to happen again. We've set ourselves a challenge. To save £300 by July. We have a running tally on a whiteboard and are taking it seriously.

Total so far: £21

19 from the copper jar - all bagged up ready to go into the savings account and a random £2 coin.

BzzAgent Again

After the E45 success (2 free bottles and a load of samples) I've been selected for a deodorant product test. It's on it's way so I'm pretty excited. Well, not 'excited' I'm not that sad, but pleased as it can be expensive and anything for free these days is helpful.

I'll post a picture as soon as it arrives, until then it's a case of checking the post every morning to see if it has arrived!

E45 Review

I heart freebies!
You may remember in my last post I said I'd joined BzzAgent and I'd received a sample kit of E45 to test as part of a campaign. Well, nearly a week of being a Bzzagent and using E45 and I can say I'm pretty pleased with the results.

My daughter's eczema is definitely a lot less red and angry, she's also stopped her occasional scratching bouts too! I'm using the moisturising lotion on her legs and arms. It goes on really easily and soaks in well. She enjoys me slopping it on and brings it over shouting "cweam mummy!" It's delicate and fragrance free so perfect for her young skin. She likes to slop it in my hair while I rub it on her - it does not do wonders for hair...

Nourishing and Restoring in Action!
The Nourish and Restore cream smells lovely and makes my skin feel nice and soft. It's not an overpowering lingering sort of smell either. People I've given the samples to have also agreed it smells nice and leaves skin feeling soft. It also soaks in well and doesn't leave you feeling all greasy which some moisturisers for dry skin do.

So far, so good!

E45 Sample Kit

I've joined Bzzagent it's a sample, test and review type site. They match you to suitable campaigns for you to try and if you like it promote it to your friends. I've been asked to review E45 cream. I got a very generous supply of 2 bottles (one for me one for the wee one) and samples for friends.

I'm pretty pleased with it so far. Looking forward to slopping it on after tonight's bath! I've used some of the E45 products on the wee one's eczema before so I'm hoping this type will be just as effective.

Almost Free Pudding!

I love the start of autumn partly for the trees changing in colours but mainly because of all the free fruit.  I'm lucky that I live in ...
